November 18th 2012

Hey Everyone!
Well I havne't blogged since Feb 2012.  Since then I was doing a lot of body rocking but then got bored doing things at home on my own so I joined a gym near my work called Fight2BeFit which has been great.  I go to their classes 3 times a week and I have a personal trainer once a week.  Ive been doing that since late August.  I was really feeling good but due to stress my nutrition has been extremely bad and my workouts have been slacking from 5 times a week to about 3 times a week.
Ive had enough.  I really need to get back on track, as I can see what it is doing to my body and i don't like it!
I want to start working out hard especially with the holidays and winter coming up its a real easy time to put on some extra pounds.
I will be with this gym until January and then I will be starting at Goodlife gym.  I find that change helps me start intersted and never get bored.
So tomorrow is Monday and I will be doing my usual kettle bell class at 7pm at the gym however I am going to try and get there earlier tomorrow and do some cardio before class!!!  Maybe 20-30 min on the stair mill is what I need to help give myself a litle calorie blasting boost!
Ive already packed my lunch of chicken with veggies and in the morning going to have my shakeology drink. I have to go purchase some protein powder so I can start having my shakes as well.
NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

NO MORE POSTS FOR A WEEK!

I have packed my Gymboss timer and my skipping rope!! and have my BR workouts ready to go!!

I won't be able to post for a week and I know the new February challenge is starting on monday so I will be a week behind but thats ok!!

I am the most confident in my body I have ever been!!!

Had a chocolate shakeology for breakfast after my workout...had a tuna melt with avacado and lettuce for lunch...greek yogurt with blueberries and granola  and a 100 cal thinsation chip ahoy for snacks...and spicy tuna roll (5 pieces for dinner) 

NEED TO DRINK MORE WATER!!!

Tomorrow I think I will do ZWOW's third workout as well as a BR workout..I hope the new one will be up by that time if not ill do an older one

BIKINI BOOTY WORKOUT

Well that was disappointing..

I finished it in 25:10 and then realized I didn't do it properly lol!!

For the second exercise I only did 10 of the 10xmountain climbers and clean and press and lunge...each round

OOPS!

Oh well

Im pooped!!!  Today i went out for lunch with 2 of my gf's and we had cheesecake for dessert :S  I really do think that eating like crap really effects your workouts....I need to get back on track with my eating..I try hard to eat healthy but then when I get home from work I know I snack wayyy too much....Esp on pistachios and tostitos with salsa :S 

4 days until vacay!!!

Yesterday I actually did two workouts back to back!!!

I did ZWOD's #2 workout then I was feeling good so I did the Stronger workout.
I bought a new lulu lemon bra the other day so I think its cause I look good, I feel good, and I want to keep working out! lol

I did Zwod's in 12min 17 seconds.  I sed 2x5lb DB for the manmakers..I used my 12kg sandbag on the lower burpee hops to make them harder.

I am feeling STRONG!! Tonight for the singlt toe touch abs, I tried doing the cross legged abs....crossed legged sit ps are in the p90x abs workout and I could NEVER do these..tonight I could do them!!!! I was soo happy!!!

TIP: Treat yourself to workout gear you feel good and sexy in, you are more likely to push harder and longer!! :)

What Won't Kill You workout

Hello ALL!
Here are my scores for Lisa's and Sean's workout!!

MY SANDBAG FINALLY CAME!! I ordered the pink one from Ultimate Sandbag however unfortunately it seems pretty small

I could only get 12kg of rice into it!! Oh well!!  Ill work with it

I also got some workout gloves because using the sandbag rubs on the backs of my fingers and it burns!!
So I highly recommend them!!

STRIP THE FEAR WORKOUT!

Alrighty!!!! Here we go folks!

Here are my scores for Strip the Fear!! and my modifications

1. P/U (military) and clean and press and squat and press with my 20lb KB...MY SANDBAG IS EN ROUTE!! WOO HOOO!!!   6-6-6

2. Plyo Jump and p/u and Tuck jump 6-6-5

3.  Plank and floor touch and knee tuck with dip station and a chair (I did not touch the chair when switching from the floor to knee tuck, i still have to work my way up to the stability ball bt Id rather work on reps right now.  During the second round my low back really hurt so in the third round i really concentrated on my posture and it helped) 16-11-12

4. reverse pull up on dip station (knees bent feet on floor) ( I find that these are sper hard for me but I have noticed im getting stronger and better at them!) 15-11-10

I used my new Vibram Kimodo Sport 5 Fingers shoes!!! They felt AWESOME!! Love it!!!

Tomorrow im gonna do WHAT WONT KILL YOU WORKOUT!!

I went shopping in the states today and bought a new bikini!!  I felt confident!!!

LOOK GOOD TOPLESS AND HOT RIGHT NOW WORKOUT

Hey Everyone!
I didn't post Seans workout last night so here it is...
That HURT!!! My triceps are DONE!!!

1. Elevated p/u on a chair with spider knee...13-9-8  I pushed myself and didn't modify this one and did really good form...i was proud of this exercise lol

2.  Star p/u on chair  12-9-8  on 2nd and 3rd round had to move to the floor and on my knees BUT i went very deep (...insert thats what he said joke)

3. Explosive p/u with Ugi  (i used a stack of books cause i didn't have ugi) 12-7-7  OWWWW

4.  Tricep with alternate lunges...my sandbag STILL isn't here so i used 2x10lb and moved to 2x5db  10-13-12


This morning I did he Hot Right Now workout 10/30 x24 rounds
I don't have enough time this morning to write allmy scores but i pushed as hard as I could.  Defiantely taking this workout to St Lucia!

Having Chocolate Shakeology with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter in it...MMMM

Going to my gf's house tonight and 3 of us are going to the US to do some shopping for vacation!! WOO HOO FUN!!!

ROCKSTAR BOOTY!

I was going to do a workout yesterday after work but I ended up falling asleep on the couch..Oh well, that will be my rest day....

This morning I did Lisas Rockstar Booty Workout...Im gonna do Seans tonight...I feel I need to seperate them in order to get some decent amount of reps in....My the time Im done Lisa's, my cardio is done so i don't have the strength to do Seans, and his looks pretty tough today so tonight Ill do it!!!!!

I did the Melt BOOTY FAT workout today  Did it at 11pm lol..I prorastinated all day but knew Id feel like crap if I skipped one so i did it!

Here are some progress shots..the first was in august 2011, the second was after doing Insanity in october 2011, and the third was taken a couple days ago...hard to tell but I am more defined now and losing some good body fat...LOVE IT, thanks to BR!!! and finally eating a little better!

RE: Sean's family post

Was reading BR Sean's post regarding his family.  And now at the age of 29 I am finally realizing how IMPORTANT your family is, and your relationships, and how they change and how they change you as a person.

Growing up was hard for me.  I mean I know everyone can say that, and obviously there are different levels of what you can consider 'hard', but here it goes...

I don't really remember my parents ever liking eachother.  We were a family yes, but there was ALWAYS tension.  My parents finally seperated when I was in grade 8.  Before, that it was hard living as a family of 4 when your parents slept on different floors and on the outside people think things are ok, and you have to put on a happy face.  After my parents split up was actually probably harder on me, because of the relationship I had with my father...

Let's start with my mom...She is the most caring, understanding, and kind mother I could ever ask for!! Her love for her children was unconditional and she always let me know that she loved me.  I feel like I could tell her anything that was bothering me, whether it be painful, embarassing or whatever. I knew that I could always talk with my mother.  I know that she got that from her mother, my grandmother, who was the sweetest person ever!!  My mom is still such a special part of my life and we are like best friends now.  With my sports as a kid my mom would be there to support me 100%.  She was an amazing cheerleader!!  Maybe she was too much of a worrier, but ill take it  :)

My relationship with my father was a different story.  On the outside, to my friends, he was a great dad, generous, caring and would buy me things...on the inside things are a little different.
He was a smart man, a lawyer, but that just meant the manipulation and the mind games and the abuse were well hidden. 
I have been an athlete all my life, even playing for the Canadian Women's Soccer Team, and although now i see it as the most amazing accomplishment, i couldn't enjoy it at the time. 
My father would yell, shout, hit, ALL the time after I would get off the field.  He would yell at me from the time I entered the car, to the time I got home, and that could be HOURS!!!!
When my parents split he made me feel guilty for leaving him, so i ended up living with him, but things were so much worse.  I hated playing sports because of him eventhough I was really good at it and loved the game.
My father died when I was 17 of a heart attack.  I was in the car when he died.  We were driving home from a sprint practice for me when the heart attack occurred. Luckily we were at a stop sign when it happened.  Days before this my father told me he wasn't feeling well, that his arm was numb, that if something should happen I should call his parents. 
I was angry at him after he died for knowing that he could have had a heart attack and didn't care that i was in the car with him.  To be perfectly honest, i think my dad would rather I have died then to have lived on without him.  I know that is a sick thing to say, but its the truth.  He was possessive and mean.

Even now I see my friends still playing on the national team and it makes me angry.  Angry that I could have still been there if things were different.  If I could have loved the game...

But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  I have learned things from my dad.  That you have to practice and practive HARD to acheive.  He has given me his work ethic which I am grateful for, and his smarts.  But I have learned how NOT to be when i have kids of my own.  I will LOVE my children wholeheartedly and unconditionally, and when they play sports, to support them and not yell....

Anyways, that was just a little bit about my family life....

Exercise is SUCH an amazing and positive way to blow off steam.... LOVE IT!

BODYROCK ANNNND ZWOD

Ok, so I tried to combine BR's WE FOUND LOVE workout and ZWOD's Jan 20th...the key word being TRIED

I got through 2 rounds of Zuzka's then I got through only 2 rounds of BR's...but I figured that is pretty good for the first hybrid attempt

I find zuzka's workout is able to get through with a good amount of reps...however BR's are getting really hard so I don't tend to do many reps...i think the combo will be good for me...

for the next two weeks I am going to try and do 2 workouts a day...morning and evening!!!

Did the HOT RIGHT NOW workout  Realllly enjoyed this one....instead of 10sec/30 second i pshed myself and did 10/40sec!

Fit Test 2 and Seans friggin workout

Okay i've decided that I hate Sean's workouts lol!! I can never get through them and today was no different!!  I WAS DONE!! My triceps were shot!!! I don't know whats wrong with them but they hurt soo bad...i suffered through it but it was awful!

The fit test was ok, I noticed i didn't do as well on the strength but i did better on the cardio component

600 Rep Time Challenge

Ok that hurt like hell!!!!
I finished it in 18min 30 seconds.  I used a 20lb kb for the lunges and 210lb DB for the squats however for 25 of the squats I used no weight cause i was gassed!
My side V abs are HORRIBLE!!! I really need to work on that...
My lower back gives out before my abs do so I just need to modify and find a better side abs exercise that doesn't kill my lower back  cause i really do need to work on the obliques that is a part of my body i really want more defined!!
Im gonna try and do abs every other day to really focus on it

Seans workout was ok.i started used 2x 15lb Db for the biceps but i quickly switched to 10lbs and got through53 of them
I got through 1min30 sec of the bent over row sign the 2x10lbDb but i felt something in my right shoulder start to tweet so i stopped.  Im a dental hygienist so I can't afford my arms to go and I think i pushed damn hard so im not too worried about that

had my steel cut oats (1/4cup) with a handful of blueberries and chia seeds and a tsp and a half of brown sugar

After my workout i am having a small portion of my leftover pasta...Im not having a lot of the actual pasta but having more sauce...its not store bought i make my own sauce...soooo good and much healthier then bottled sauces...the sauce has diced tomatoes, herbs and spices, mushrooms, onion, green pepper, and lean ground turkey and of course red wine in the sauce to make it gooood

Today starts my 3 weeks of NO SWEETS!!!!!!  so no chocolate, no desserts!!!  im allowing myself frit etc but no real  cheats....Im gonna be grouchy!! but im determined to see what that can do in 3 weeks

Off to the tanning salon and to get my new KOBO reader!!

My scores from today

Okay, I had to head to work..so now I have time to write my scores from this morning.
I LOVED this workout!! I felt my heart POUNDING!! I really pushed hard...
I find that with Seans workouts its better to decrease the weight i use and really get through the 15 reps then give up!  Same with Lisa's workouts, better to decrease the weight and do more reps then to take more breaks...I felt REALLY good after this workout.
Tomorrow I will be doing the 600 Rep Challenge....and who knows? I don't have much planned yesterday so maybe ill even do another workout!  Im crazzzy like that lol

Ate well today!  Had my steel cut oats this morning wiwh brown sugar and blueberries and chia seeds, had a banana for a snack...had my own version of Fried Rice tonight...boneles skiness chicken breasts with seasoning, with snap peas, green peppers, mushrooms, egg, mixed with brown rice and quinoa!  SOOO yummy, my hubby really enjoyed it!

TWO REST DAYS AND BACK IN THE GAME

Well I don't like taking my rest days on teh weekend becase that is when i have the most time to do my workouts!!!
So Thursdays and Friday were CRAZY at work so I took those as my rest days

I have 3 bodyrock routines which I am still to do sat sun and mon (cause im a day behind de to the time they post the workouts)

So I am gonna switch them up a bit and do the SET IT OFF working and LISA's workout today then tomorrow im gonna try the 600 REP CHALLENGE, then on monday do the BRinging Sexy Back workout...(just due to time etc)

So Im having my pre workot coffee and here we go!!!

Yesterday's workout

So yesterday I was sppose to do the Trn Me On FItness and the Set You Free Workout...
I started with Sean's workout and once again I can only get throgh 2 rounds!!

My shoulders give out so I can't push through the rest!!

I did two rounds in 15.39...i can't believe how slow that is considering I don't feel like Im wasting that mch time!!! oh well...

So I was too gassed to do Lisa's

So I am having my pre workout coffee right now then going to do Turn Me On FiTness and the Domino Workout!!
24 min!!! Here we go!! I think I like the two rounds of 6 exercises better!  Less repetition!
I started eating steel cut oats with honey (or brown sugar) and bluberries for breaky...SO YUMMY  highly recommend

International Love Workout and Wish You Would Pump It Workout

Well I felt bad about giving up after two rounds of Seans workout so today I pushed my self....
24 rounds of 10sec rest and 50 seconds workout combining both workouts
Had my Chocolate Shakeology with water ice and a banana this morning then did my workout

International Love
Superman PU  16
Elevated PU with 2 spider knees  6
Squat and Press with 20lb KB 14
Clean and Press with 10lb DB Jump forward and 3 sqat jumps  9
Rev pull up (feet on ground)  12
Side Jump burpee with 2 knee to elbow oblique abs and tuck jmp  7
Forward Lunge, side lunge and Sumo R and L knee Life with 10lb db  6
Tricep dip and kick out ab on dip stationn 7
Overhead ab with 20lb KB 7
Shoulder life with 20lbKB sqat and switch sholder press  7

I AM DONE!!!! Lol...My shoulders were really hurting today just from the workout and even doing some of Seans yesterday so the Rev Pull Ups were really hurting and so were the burpees

I am really starting to love burpees and tuck jumps because I notice that I am doing them faster and that my militarty press up is getter deeper and easier!!

Rest Day

My muscles are screaming today..I did two rounds of Seans workout but form wasn't good and was gassed...So gonna rest today and push harder tomorrow....So tomorrow gonna try his workout again and do Lisa's resistance workout..!! Just means im gonna be working out on sunday as well!!

I want to be able to give it 100%!!

Diet was ok today, didn't eat enough though that's for sure....Back on track tomorrow!!!

Diet Today

Today wasn't too bad!  Had my english muffin with natural peanut butter and honey and a coffee..12oz matcha green tea
Lunch I had 2 chicken thighs with shake'n bake  and about 3/4 cup veggies (onion, mushroom, snowpeas)
Snacks today were a protein shake and Dinner was some leftover steak and put that on a salad (spinich leaves, mushrooms, croutons, red pepper dressing)
And ill admit I had a couple of these beef puff things that my co-workers mom made...they are delicious!!!
LOL can't wait to do the next workout!!!
Ordered my official pink sandbag today, unfortunately not shipping until janary 20th. Ah well

Good Feeling Workout

Okay I am dripping in sweat as I type this but I wanted to write this down before I got ready for work
So today I did the 12 minte cardio workout by Lisa on Bodyrock but to make it longer I did 24 rounds instead of the 12...So I did each exercise twice then moved onto next exercise...It hurt badly..lol

Results:
10xhigh knee and 10xmontain climbers   50rep/50rep    40rep/40rep
2xsquat jump then 2 push ups then 1 tuck jump  I lost count of my reps...arond 4 sets of each both times i think
Centre to Elbow jump L and R then 2 lef jump  9 sets 5 sets
Clean and Press, Squat and Press then push up  4 sets 5 sets  done with 2 10lb DB
5 Tuck Jump, 1/2burpee and squat holdx 5     3 sets  3 sets
Spider Knee pushup and straight leg push up  Could only do this on my knees, i was dying  12   8
Switch Lunge and Press  10   10  with 2 10lb DB
Side Lungex2, Pnchx2, tuck jump x2  8 sets  8 sets
10 squats, 10 sqat jump (with  20lb KB)  17/10     16/10
Elbow to Knee Jumps  total reps  47   51
Wide Leg Jumps with p/u  6   12
Speed Run  completed

So that was a good one, felt my low back a little sore on the sqauats

2nd workout

Im glad I posted that I would workout tonight cause man i was close to not doing it...
It was sooo comfy on my couch with hubby watching the telly but I did it!

High Knee Jump Rope: too hard to count my reps so I just pushed as hard as I could.  I only tripped on the rope 3 times for all 8 rounds so not bad
Burpees with a push up: total 31
Switch Lunges: 165
Tuck Jumps: 109
Dynamic Squat: 117

Saw the workout for tomorrow, looks good! I don't think Ill be able to post the number of reps though cause I think it will be hard to keep count lol..Well see how it goes

Diet was good today: for snacks I had a handful of trail mix, beef jerkey, and a protein shake...Lunch was chicken and a salad...dinner was 2 chicken thighs skinless and I sauteed some onion, snow peas, and mushrooms and added some Mrs Dash seasoning
Drank more water then usual today but still not enough as I should

Resisted treats today! GOOD FOR ME!! lol!

Fit Test Results

Alrighty, well Im back to work today so of course I slept in lol.
So didn't' have time for my pre-workout coffee so I rolled out of bed and did the Fit Test
Here are my results 10sec rest/50sec work 7 exercises
Squat Jump 45
Push Ups 20 normal and 13 on knees (my goal is to do the same amount but none on the knees)
Burpees 16
High Knee 95
Switch Lunge 52
Tuck Jmps 32
Straight Abs (I did a full sit up each time, not a crunch) 17

Tonight my plan is to do 20 min cardio doing 10 sec rest/20 sec work interval and do 5 exercises 8 times each!

Burpees with a push up
Switch Lunges
Tuck Jumps
Dynamic Squat

Im writing it down on so that it pushes me to actually do it after work today!!!

My plan is good cleaning eating today, starting with matcha green tea in my travel thermos and a whole wheat english muffin with all natural crunchy peanut butter and some honey

Shake It! 250 Rep Workout

Well today is suppose to start the challenge but the new workout isn't up yet so I think I will do them one day behind because I am a morning workout person

This morning I had a black cup of coffee and a little bit of granola before starting this workout

This is a time challenge...So the objective is to do 50 reps of 5 different exercises in your best time

The exercises were
Kick over dip staion with a knee tuck alternating legs 50 reps
Half Burpee (meaning no pushup) 50 reps
Sandbag Squat 50 reps...I did it with 2 10lb db's as i don't have the sandbag yet..i did 40 reps with weight and 10 withot from rep 20-30
Core Split (V ab on dip station)
Sandbag swing (I did this with 20lb KB)

My inner thighs were hurting a bit from yesterdays workout but I made it through in 17min 40 sec

I will try this one again in a couple weeks and try and beat my time.

Im gonna try and keep my eating in order today!!!  Today is last day of holidays then back to work!! Booo-urns lol
But gonna try and go to sleep earlier and wake up early to do my workouts

5 weeks till vacay!

Okay so I have 5 weeks until the trip to St Lucia. So that is my first goal of the year.  To look as good as possible in a bikini!  Cause who knows? I may get pregnant this year, so its now or never HAHA!
Today I did the Roc Me Out 4 min workout two times, then the Dip Station workout 2 times and I wanted to try the cockiness workout but my arms were done.  So I finished off with 4 min skipping.

Here are my scores

Weighted Prisoner Squat (with 20lb KB) 30- 28
Elevated push up with Knees (feet on chair and hands on psh up bars) 8 -8
Alternating weighted Squats (using two 10lb dumbells)16-13 (last 7 with no weight)
Lunge and Press (5lb DB's) 10-8

Dip Station Workout
1burpee and knee tuck 7-7
1tuck ab and Dip station body lift(one foot on ground) 12-10
1 tricep dip and 1 V ab (one tip toe on grond for the dip) 6-6
Reverse Pull Up (feet on ground with bent knees) 11-11

FUTURE GOAL BY FEB 5TH: to be able to do the dip station body lift to full capacity, and to do three in a row!!

My biggest obstacle is nutrition...I love my pasta and my chocolate!! But hopefully I will be able to curb my cravings and try to be accountable for my actions...Today my eating wasn't too bad....

New Eating Habits:
No carbs at dinner
No carbonated drinks
Drink more water
Protein, Protein, Protein
NO CHOCOLATE!!!!

Tomorrow starts the Body Rock 30 day challenge!!!! So I may do the 1st workout or I might start a day behind depending on when they post it cause I like to workout in the mornings...
